'Nautical' from TamsinP - 'What Shall We Do With The Drunken Pirate...'

He'd really gone and done it this time. Ray "Badger" Rousell, the infamous smuggler of budgies, with his mischievous monkeying around had insulted not one, but two fierce ladies. Now, if they had both been brunette and wholly English, he was sure that he could have charmed them into forgiveness. But no. He'd managed to upset a blonde Irishwoman and a (part Irish) redhead. Talk about a miscalculation. Well, talk about a mis-something, calculation not being his strong point. They'd sworn revenge, which he knew would be bitter. There was only one thing for it - he had to run away to sea and hope they wouldn't be able to find him.

He headed to the most desperate port he knew and signed on with the Challenge, a pirate ship of some repute. At first the crew found his japes and antics amusing, then they just became boring and mildly irritating. That lasted until they docked in the Lee Isles. This time he went too far with his tricks and incurred the wrath of Francisco the Mighty, an Irish sorceror resident in those parts. He looked into Ray's soul and transformed him into a creature that matched his personality...

Back on the good ship Challenge his mischief only got worse. With his small size, his speed and his climbing they could never catch him. He drove them to distraction. He drove them to despair. He drove them to drink. Even the ever patient and tolerant Captain Campbell was forced to give up and hit the grog.

Will Ray be caught and brought to justice? Will the offended ladies get their sweet revenge? Tune in again for the next thrilling episode.

The figure is 28mm from Reaper and was sent to me as a surprise gift from Anne - quite fitting that I've been able to paint him up as part of the revenge on Ray! The decking has been extended from what the figure came with, using Milliput.

  6. That's one ugly simian-faced pug-nosed son of a motherless ape. And his monkey's not much better-looking either...

Remember that can of Karmic Whupass we heard being opened a couple of weeks ago, Ray...?

Great work, Tamsin; I think this balances the ledger now!

  7. Very lovely models, Tamsin! Capt Campbell does look very deep in his cups! Is that coincidence on the red vest and Fez for Ray? ;)

  8. Good one my fair lady! You hit the nasty little badger broadside. I bet he throws his poo at the crew when he doesn't get his way.

Great choice of figure and well painted!
