'Empire' From MattW: AT-M6 Star Wars Walker

 

 Empire AT-M6 Star Wars 

What says Empire more than the Galactic Empire and the First Order! The All Terrain MegaCaliber Six (AT-M6), also known as the Gorilla Walker is a mobile heavy artillery walker. The biggest walker in the First Order's arsenal, the AT-M6 was much larger than the All Terrain Armored (AT-AT ). Armed with a single Mega-Caliber Six turbolaser cannon mounted to its back for which the walker was named. It Is also equipped with two forward-mounted fire-linked heavy laser cannons, two cheek-mounted anti-ship medium laser cannons, and two sets of serrated cable cutters in the front legs to deter attempts at toppling the top-heavy walker. The walker also carried a targeting computer which analyzed the input from two sets of cockpit-mounted targeting sensor banks to deliver precise shots.

My first model off the desk for 2026 for the analogue painting challenge. The kit is a Bandai plastic model kit number 5064111. A nicely detailed with lots of deep paneling lines, and very simple assembly, no scale but I suspect around 1/500th scale standing 36m = 7.3cm tall, the body is similar in size to a hot wheels car. 

Really happy with the result, I tried to base the vehicle like the film on a salt crusted red planet as per the movie. The AT-M6 has very simple paint job of black, then dry brushed dark grey, through to a highlight in light grey.
