'Toy Story' from TomL: Damn Kids

Can't go wrong with those meddling kids, their dog and their iconic van.  One of the few cartoons I liked as a kid that was still on when I had children was Scooby-Doo.  I didn't have a lot of Scooby toys as a kid but I made up for that with mine as they now made vans, figures and stuffed animals. We liked the classic Scooby Doo though we were split on the addition of that mangy irritating puppy I won't name. My son's girlfriend is really into Scooby-Doo and all our old stuff including my old friction powered little mystery machine has moved to their place.  Her 2025 Christmas present:

Surprisingly my wife didn't want one for her car.

I couldn't resist getting the Hasslefree mystery gang variations and a few armor cast resin vans when they were released years ago. Finally the original team is painted.

According to my research, this is the reported site of haunting and demon summoning.

Hope we brought Scooby snacks

Your right Daphne, the mystery machine could use a wash.

According to my research Scrappy, your disliked because your annoying.

Somewhere in my stuff is a chrome finish I used for my son's derby cars.  If I can ever find it, I will chrome the bumpers.

No idea why Hasslefree included the sitting Great Dane in my set but I luckily found the proper one on ebay. Mistake or maybe it was their original Scooby-doo figure?  Hopefully another company will make these sculpts available again.

Decals were printed by CompanyB a decade ago and looked fine until I added a coat of my ancient gloss varnish over the top. They faded in random spots and I had to paint over them.  I probably should have tossed that can long ago.

Anyway, points: 100

Theme - 50 points
6 28mm figures - 30 points
1 28mm vehicle - 20 points

  4. Brilliant entry and excellent painting, Tom! You're right, the standing Scooby is obviously the better pick. I hope they have many great adventures together!
