Wow. Deadlines, huh?
They just creep up on you. Well, not only was I crept up on, I was mugged.
What was to have been a full 12-player Blood Bowl team has been pared back to take part in the less prestigious Seven-A-Side Competition. Still, it fits the theme, and Gary Morley's sculpts from way back in 1994 are excellent, with their terrific detail and characterful attitudes.
I went for a simple red and yellow colour scheme, not for any particular reason other than it's bright and stands out on the tabletop.
Here are the two Blockers;
The two Runners;
Two Slayers (these guys play for keeps);
And I'll be honest, the tattoos aren't easy when you've only had 5 hours sleep!
And here's the Blitzer (I honestly have no idea what a Blitzer does in the game. Blitz, presumably).
So while it's not as significant a submission as I would have hoped, at least I've got some more Dwarves into the mix, and that's the most important thing, isn't it? Painting Dwarves has become something of a Challenge tradition for me, as has tormenting Goblins (and maybe we'll see some of those little green devils further down the track...)
That's all for this round - stay tuned!
Ev
What characterful little chaps, the colour scheme is grand
ReplyDeleteThanks Jamie!
DeleteLots of Bloodbowl characters in this round, so far I'm having a lot of fun with them. Excellent team here
ReplyDeletePity about the deadline though...!
Deletegreat but I bet they are rubbish under the high ball
ReplyDeleteThanks Martin - but don't underestimate the power of a short bloke with a grudge!

Some lovely classic figures, you've done a great job on them!
ReplyDeleteThanks James, who knows, maybe Blood Bowl Sevens will catch on!

Classics! These were my first BB team...
ReplyDeleteMine too! It's just taken me nearly 20 years to make a start on them!🤣
DeleteI am with Barks on this: what a lovely old school team and dwarfs at that, just brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sander, much appreciated!
DeleteCracking work Evan, cracking!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fran, the rest of the team will follow soon!
DeleteWell done Evan!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Thank you, Christopher!
DeleteNice work Evan.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray!
DeleteGreat looking blood bowl lite team!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
BB7s! That's the future, that is!
DeleteSome venerable classics, Ev. Perhaps not so great with the sprints, but the low center mass will make these guys particularly brutal on the field.
ReplyDeleteAll the impetus of an angry cannonball!
DeleteI have always had a soft spot for dwarves. These look great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Byron, it wouldn't be an Ev Challenge without at least one dwarf entry!
DeleteNice work Ev, they look a very determined crew.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter, that they are!
DeleteBeautiful brushwork mate! When do we play?!?
ReplyDeleteOne step at a time, Mr Mills, let's get the rest of the team painted up!
DeleteGreat looking team, though you seem to be a little 'short' of players. Sorry.
