Hoi,
Okay let me be totally honest: I am only in this Bonus Round for the (extra) points... I have nothing even remotely original or flashy just plain Blood Bowl stuff. When I get into a certain game, period or army I tend to go over board, so I rather bought a lot of teams for the game. I have the basic box set which gives you Orcs and Humans, I bought Dwarfs (my favourite race for WH) and ordered Skaven for my gaming buddy Mark, but the FLGS where I ordered them accidentally sent my these Gobbo's. Now he offered me them at half price (more efficient then replacing them with the Skaven) and I took this offer.
While in theory you can play these as a separate team and it should be fun, I think I will use them to enhance my Orc team.
As I had 4 teams I also needed some star players and so I got myself an ogre and a troll. The ogre got finished in time for this round the troll sadly not.
Now there was this big area on his left pauldron and it just screamed out for the beast's name to be put there and my brushes just took over and made me paint his name there...
here's the lot put together:
The Lad didn't understand the workings of a Bonus Round last year, this year he gets it and wants a piece of the action. Sadly he doesn't own anything that could be considered "in-theme" at least so we thought... last Tuesday he came and said: "Dad didn't I buy a SPORTS-car at the Crisis?" and so he has and so he painted it. Here's Arthur's sports-car for your pleasure.
It's a Ford Falcon made by Wargamesterrainworkshop.co.uk and yes that's the famous "Road Interceptor" a.k.a. Mad Max's ride. In hind sight I would have liked one myself, but at the time my money was leaving my wallet in an alarming pace so I didn't buy one.
Pointswise this entry should be worth 20 points for Arthur (a 28mm vehicle) and 13 figures in 28mm scale for me is 65 points.
Nice work indeed!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jamie!

ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Sander and Arthur. Haven’t played Blood Bowl in years and these are really cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd buying more than you need for a game? I might just be a little guilty of that as well 😀
Don't we all Nick? ;-)
DeleteGreat work guys!! Sander, that team looks the business, even with one of them being named Ray. :) Arthur, I love that car, buddy, especially those green tanks at the rear. Awesome work you two.
