Right
at the start of the challenge I posted up the Joker Crew from the
Knight Models Batman Miniatures Game. From the same 'Suicide Squad'
starter box comes one of the Squad themselves, Captain Boomerang
As
an Aussie myself, I thought it only appropriate to present one of the
few Australian movie characters embodied in a miniatures game. Whatever
your thoughts on the actual movie, at least he had a real Australian
accent :-)
The figure is 32mm metal by Knights Models.
Here you will find all the spectacular entries to the Painting Challenge Theme Bonus Rounds. Enjoy, vote and please leave comments for the participants!

'West' from JamesL: Afrika Korps in the Western Desert
The Desert Afrika Korps was formed to help the Italians in the
Western Desert, an area comprising Egypt and Libya , and the units
assigned to the Korps performed admirably until supply lines ran out and
they were forced to retreat.
These 6 chaps are the last part of a DAK force I have been painting for both Bolt Action and Chain of Command, and are Artizan figures. They are dressed in a mix of new and old uniforms, some sun faded some fresh out of the bottom of their kit bags, and painted with Vallejo paints.
I used the painting guide from Warlord games written by Bryan, a fellow Aussie and Bolt Acrion aficionado, and winner of the recent CanCon Best Painted award. Bryan's amazing figures provide a wonderful aspiration, and I'm really happy how these chaps turned out .(although a long way from Bryan's!)
The basing was completed with Kens Legendary Tufts, which he made up specifically for me knowing I was doing DAK. The mix of tree trunks and logs with the grass and rocks adds a more natural look, and really compensates for the plain ground. I used GW technical paint Agrellan Badland. which didn't crack as much as I hoped compared to the Agrellan Earth product that is superb and graces the bases of my other figures in this army. Importantly for my gaming, these are the final 6 riflemen I needed to fully kit out a DAK platoon for Chain of Command, and will join their Perry figures Kameraden in battle with Patchs' French tomorrow evening for their first outing :-) These lads are 28mm, so 30pts plus the Bonus round I believe :-)

'Home' from JamesL: A Temporary Home
This temporary home for a 28mm German 10.5cm Le.FH 18 Auf39-h of the
21sr Panzer Division is made up of the ruined hamlet terrain set from
Warlord Games.
I painted the house as an old abandoned farmhouse , complete with the beginnings of an apple orchard (railway trees already made up) and used flock to represent overgrowth beginning to take over the ruins.
The 10.5cm SPG is a resin model made by a chap called Mad Bob, who did a converted French vehicle Kickstarter last year. This was another of Beckers conversions for the 21st Panzer Div in Normandy , based on the French R35 chassis. The great thing about this kit is that it comes with a 75mm ATG as well so you can clip in and out whichever variant you need. The only downside is the lack of interior detail compared to the Warlord model I did last week but it is certainly fine for gaming and thanks to Mad Bob it's actually available.

'East' from JamesL: Dacians
These lads are part of my ongoing DBA slow grow, and join the falx
men element I have posted previously. The three elements are Falxmen
Fast Blade, Fast Warband and a two man skirmisher unit, Psoli.
for these I am trying a split complementary colour scheme, a technique I found on the excellent ModelDads blog, which discusses the use of the colour wheel in choosing colours. A pleasant change from Oak leaf camo!!
Hand painted shield for the Warband is a must, less I incur the wrath of Dux and the mirth of PaulOG!
The skirmishers have proven to be as tough as nails in the 4 games I have played (with unpainted figures shock horror!) which has surprised both myself and my opponents...
