'Fellowship' from MikeF: Female Fantasy Fellowship

Here is my submission for this weekends final bonus round. A classic Fantasy "fellowship" is a Warrior, Wizard, Dwarf and Elf. As I mentioned during the Mercenary round, I bought a large number of fantasy miniatures from Hasslefree Miniatures.

I dug into the collection and found the figures necessary to make my fellowship. The twist is that they're all female! I'm fairly happy with how they turned out. The details on these minis are so fine it was quite difficult painting them at times. I tried experimenting with painting the eyes, but I kept getting a Homer Simpson result, so I abandoned the attempt.

'Mercenary' from MikeF: Grond

Several years ago I went on a spending spree at Hasslefree Miniatures for fantasy miniatures. I then neglected to paint any of them in favor of my 30k Imperial Fist project. In preparation for the mercenary bonus theme I decided to delve into my collection for a suitable model.

I settled on "Grond" as I think he has a suitably ragged appearance to be a down on his luck sell sword. Just look at the sorry state of his sword and shield! He clearly isn't charging enough for his services.

'Sport' from MikeF: Gaslands War Rig

For this Saturdays Sport entry I'm submitting a War Rig for the game Gaslands!. For those who don't know. Gaslands was developed by Osprey Publishing and is basically demolition derby with kit-bashed Hotwheels/Matchbox cars. Story wise it's billed as the most popular death sport on post-apocalyptic earth and shown to a live audience. In the game, the War Rig is the biggest vehicle you can build and is basically a mobile fortress. The model below is based off a Hotwheels model. I can't remember if Hotwheels is closer to 15mm or 20mm so I included a 15mm model for comparison when assigning points.

The lego base works well keeping the model from rolling around. I'll have to re-glue the wheels before it's debut game.

The model already came with armor plates and a vault like door on the trailer, so I didn't need to do much when converting.

'Reconnaissance' from MikeF: 30K Imperial Militia

This is my first year as participant in the challenge and I've managed to complete my first entry, which also happens to fit the fortnight reconnaissance theme.

I've just started painting a new army for Horus Heresy 30k based on the Imperial Militia & cults army list. I'm using Anvil Industry's regiments line which are absolutely fantastic models. They are also fairly expensive and not really a cheap alternative to Forge World.

The army is based on the Inferalti Hussars which are briefly mentioned in the novel, Praetorian of Dorn. This unit is literally called 'Reconnaissance Squad' and are all equipped with sniper rifles. With red armor I assume they recon the enemy by getting lit up, which seems very 30k. 10 models for 50 points plus 50 theme points.
