'Sport' from FranjoB: Morgan the Ogre, Fantasy Football Star Player

Hi all,

Here we have one of the most terrible and feared players in the history of Fantasy Football: Morgan the Ogre. Countless rivals have fallen under his fists, many of them injured for life and not a few with their brains scattered across the field.

Miniature of Iron Golems Miniatures.

The figure measures 40mm from the feet to the eyes, so I let you to value it for me ;)

  2. Thank you Benito!

I found that my best try on painting nude skin is making a lot of contrast between the creases. Base is usually beige brown or orange brown, second I use a sepia or similar wash and then three tones of skin, in this order: dwarf skin, standard skin and, finally, elven skin. If necessary I give touches of sepia or skin wash to the creases.

This procedure is for half-nude and muscled figures like this ogre.

  3. This is splendid stuff, Franjo, the skin is superbly rendered. I love a miniature with character, and we can see immediately just what a character this big fella is!

  7. Great looking figure, I normally do not like the line method of painting flesh but it really works here.

    1. Tkanks, Byron!

I always look for contrast and tabletop quality. My painting technique is quite classic. I follow the guides of Kevin Dallimore and Gómez Valero: base and two lights... sometimes only one light and sometimes more than two. To me it works.
