'Flight' from MichaelA: Flight(less!)

Flight, Flightless – a bit of a reach?  Yes, an unashamed points grab, but in my defence what started as a quick win developed into something much more involved as I wrestled with achieving the desired effect on the neck and legs.

A flock of ostriches?  A pride of ostriches?  Apparently both are acceptable, but another favourite was a wobble of ostriches although I can’t help think that given this bonus round theme a flight of ostriches would be best!


These splendid, long legged birds are from North Star Miniature’s Africa range and are good solid one piece sculpts.  So that’s three more genuine 28mm miniatures (they are actually closer 40mm), painted and based and ready to add to this year’s tally.  I promise to try harder for the next bonus round.
