'Armour' from EricM: No Treads But Lots of Armour

Here is my submission for the Armor Theme round. I used the theme to get some work done on the Main Battle Tanks of Mithridates VI Pontic army.

The Sarmatian Cataphracts are from Warlord games.   I really Love the horses!  In designing the figures, Warlord cast the rider's legs and horse as one piece.  The torso is able to be attached to any of the horses, which makes for nice variation. I have another box of them that I may do in more dynamic poses.

The only downside to the kit is the SHARPENED steel lances.   I can attest they are sharp.

Here is a closer view of them on the paint table

  1. A powerful unit. Very nicely painted.

  2. Holding on to a lance with both hands while riding takes some serious skills. And the same goes to painting these great miniatures. Great work Eric!

Huzzah, they have drawn first blood which should purge the freshly painted unit fail curse! ;)
