'Armour' from Millsy: Dampftank Eins Stank

G'day All!

If my recent 18th century mounted commanders were a rather extravagant way to progress my Challenge in terms of time-spent-to-points-earned then this must take the cake! One 10mm scale steam tank from the Empire Warmaster army, worth a whopping THREE points and which took over two hours to paint. Having said that, it was a joy to paint and that two-plus hours disappeared in a blink... :-)

Tradition dictates that each Stank (as we Warhammer nerds call them) is named. This little chap is yet to get a proper name but I'm sure Evan will come up with something suitably droll given five minutes!

"Dampftank Eins" as he will be known for now is crewed by Hauptman Docherty, who stands proud in his turret wielding his repeater pistol and demanding of Treiber Campbell that he be driven closer to the enemy that he may strike them with his sword. Beavering away below decks Ersatzsoldaten Millsy shovels coal for all he's worth to keep the steam up and his ride rumbling ever onward towards the enemy lines.

Cheers,
Millsy

  6. Clean and crisp. Nice steam tank, the emperor will be proud of Nuln and Altdorf (the colours I believe) will be happy to field such a fine weapon.

    1. I think getting that dolt Campbell to drive on the right side if the road will be bad enough ... never mind closer to the enemy!

  11. Lovely little tank. I like using your finger for scale comparison. Keep shovelling that looks like it uses a lot of coal.
